Nigel Mortimer Bostrick
Nigel Mortimer Bostrick is curious and inventive, with a more cerebral approach to situations. He is the inventor/scientist in this here duo and carriers a unhealthy habit to learn about everything he and Abbot encounter, often times to the point of missing what's right in front of him.
Whatever he discovers, whether it be an ability of a new fearsome creature, or the wonder of new technology from another time, he always tries to use this knowledge in improving his own steam powered inventions. And although many of Nigel's inventions don't seem to work the way he planned, and are needlessly dangerous to boot, he always finds a good use for them in the end ... usually
Koala · Recurring protagonist
Abbot Meriwether Cuskley
Abbot Meriwether Cuskley is adventurous, confident, and action-oriented. He is the brawn on these expeditions and makes sure he proves it too. He enjoys the manlier things in life such as wrestling bears, unnecessarily hazardous shortcuts and tracking through treacherous jungles with his small armory of hunting gear.
While he may not always show it, Abbot also has a soft spot for his good friend Nigel and always does his best to look out for his well being. While Nigel may come up with the plans to build a lot of their steam powered devices, Abbot can assemble them... with his bare hands! .. and maybe a hammer if needed.
